RACC Quilt Acquisition

August 16, 2013

Winter-Eddy-web

Today, Oregon’s Regional Arts and Culture Council purchased my wool quilt, entitled, Winter Eddy, for their Portable Works Collection! Each work in the collection hangs for 6 months to 5 years either in a City of Portland or a Multnomah County building where the public can enjoy it. Winter Eddy was inspired by watching water flow over river rocks during frequent hikes in the Columbia Gorge.

OPUS VII Gallery Gala Opening

November 8, 2010

I attended the gala grand opening of OPUS VII Gallery in Eugene, Oregon last night. They showcase a compelling blend of design, architecture and art that’s worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood. The opening show was tastefully curated and featured two of my large format quilts – one wool, one linen.

New Wild Garden Quilt

July 8, 2010

Here is the first small wall quilt made from my Shasta Collection fabrics, Wild Garden, 42″ x 42″.  I chose just the prints from the Summer Blaze color combination and combined them with a few solids.  Great fun and very summery.

  • 2022 Graduation Quilts

My Graduation Quilt Project hit its pinnacle this year with the largest number of graduates in a single year, one of which included my son, Lee.

  • Ted’s Atrium

Perhaps because there are several architects in my own family, or perhaps because I find architecture’s intersection between art and design so compelling, I experienced a sense of excited nervousness at the outset of this memorial quilt project.

  • Roy’s Light

During my initial conversation with clients, the first thing I ask is for them to share a little bit about their loved one who died.
