I have made quilts for weddings, anniversaries, births (baby quilts), graduations, retirements, birthdays, and meditation retreats.
Many kinds. In general, non-stretch fabrics are best. You may supply meaningful fabrics you want incorporated into your quilt, or you may choose from a selection of linens, light wools, or my own print collections.
My wedding quilts are made out of fabric supplied by either the wedding guests, family members, or both. It’s a wonderful gift that can be given by a small group of people or the entire wedding community. Choose from a selection of my original quilt patterns or work with me on a custom pattern.
My wedding quilts require time-intensive work that is difficult to rush. If there is insufficient lead time, one great option is to make a lovely swatch book with samples of each fabric to give as a gift on the wedding day as a “sneak peek” of what’s to come. There have been times when a quilt is finished sooner than 14 weeks, but it depends on the complexity of the project, our schedules, and other factors.
Quilts that use primarily cotton, linen, and some blends may be laundered in a front loading, tumble washer only. Cold water, gentle cycle, air dry. Quilts that may include various combinations of synthetic fabrics should be dry cleaned only. **All fabrics should be laundered according to their instructions before being shipped to me.
