Last Friday, I attended a heartwarming fundraiser for the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research located in Seattle, Washington. They have been working on ground-breaking biotechnology aimed at curing childhood cancer without the harmful effects of chemotherapy or radiation.
Today, Oregon’s Regional Arts and Culture Council purchased my wool quilt, entitled, Winter Eddy, for their Portable Works Collection! Each work in the collection hangs for 6 months to 5 years either in a City of Portland or a Multnomah County building where the public can enjoy it. Winter Eddy was inspired by watching water flow over river rocks during frequent hikes in the Columbia Gorge.
