1 Million Pillowcase Challenge

American Patchwork and Quilting is hosting their One Million Pillowcase Challenge 2014.

I was honored to be asked to participate in their One Million Pillowcase Blog Hop. Selected designers were asked to choose an APQ pillowcase pattern to either make out of their own fabric collections or other fabrics that inspired them. All of the pillowcases will be donated to a variety of charities. I chose pillowcase pattern #43 – Pillowcase with Pyramid Band – and made it with fabrics from my Mineral Forest Collection (printed and distributed by Andover Fabrics). I am planning on donating my pillowcase to ConKerr Cancer who help children who are fighting cancer.

The One Million Pillowcase 24-Hour Sewathon is happening September 19-20 at numerous venues all over the country. Click here to see if anyone in your area is hosting the event. Time to get sewing!
