As
a textile artist and craftsperson, Lori Mason has been producing
artwork for over 14 years. After working as a textile designer
for Nike Apparel, Lori started her own quilting business in 1999.
Since then, she has sold her quilts and pillows at the Smithsonian
Craft Show and the Philadelphia
Museum Craft Show as well as other local and national craft
shows. Her work has been featured on Oregon Public Broadcasting
Television in a production entitled Quilts of Oregon, and in 2001,
one of her wall hangings was purchased through Oregon's
Regional Arts and Culture Council to hang in a publicly owned
facility for abused children. She has exhibited her work through
many art and craft galleries around the country.
In
addition to her passion for textiles, Lori enjoys working individually
with clients on specially commissioned, one-of-a-kind pieces.
She finds her one-on-one involvement in the process of creating
commemorative and wedding quilts to be especially rewarding for
both her and her clients. Lori lives and produces her work in
Portland, Oregon.
